Greetings to those who watch the WEB TV! A short film, 'Anniversary', made in a film camp in Transsylvania, opens the programme. The next film, 'Csallósession', presents György Ferenczy's acoustic blues workshop with lots of music and interviews. Click to WEB TV.
The selection committee of the MEDIAWAVE Film and Music Festival is steaming: film makers submitted around 1300 films until the entry deadline (10 January). The jury watched 400 films and the data have been under procession. They will decide which films go to competition or to the panorama programme until the end of February.
Among the participants of the Passport Control Film Workshop, there will be two film crews from Serbia and from different places of Hungary coming to Győr to shoot their films here. One of the directors is Orsolya Nagypál, the winner of the Filmfund screenplay application' 2008.
On the 1st of December, Monday evening, in the frame of the 1st CITY-FILM-MEMORY gala, the FILMFUND GYŐR was introduced in Győr, in the Richter Hall, which had been a cinema from the 60's until the emergence of multiplexes. Now it is a concert hall but until the beginning of the gala, films took over the rule again to show the visual memory of Győr on long-stored celluloid rolls. The audience could also participate the high-level theatre and music programmes.

Győr - Unique film selection, spectacular-intimate musical performances... Last night the Filmfund Győr and its film archive presented its activity.
There are more than 150 film funds in Europe which enrich the given territory with workplace investments and artistic, educational and financing possibilities. In Hungary, the first Filmfund, with support of the city government, was established in Győr and it was introduced to the audience at a spectacular gala.
