EURIMAGES supports full-length feature films and animation as well as documentaries of a minimum length of 70 minutes.
Because the support is for co-production, all projects submitted must have at least two co-producers from different member States of the Fund. The participation of the majority co-producer must not exceed 80% of the total co-production budget, and the participation of the minority co-producer must not be lower than 10%. For bilateral co-productions with a budget above 5 M Euros, the participation of the majority co-producer must not exceed 90% of the total budget of the co-production.

Distribution Support

Support for distribution is managed by the EURIMAGES Secretariat, it is aimed at providing a system of support for distribution complementary to the Media Programme of the European Union. The support is available to distributors of the member States who are not able to benefit from the support awarded by Media(1), i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” and Turkey.

Exhibition Support

Objectives:
To increase the programming of European films in cinemas in EURIMAGES member States that do not have access to the MEDIA Programme, notably the countries of central and eastern Europe;
To support initiatives by cinemas which programme and promote European films on their screens;
To develop a network of cinemas at European level to allow concerted efforts between cinema exhibitors and distributors and with other European organisations that sponsor cinemas.

Support for Television Broadcasting

The support aims at promoting the transnational dissemination of European audio visual works produced by independent production companies by encouriging cooperation between broadcasters on the one hand and independent producers and distributors on the other. Fiction, animation and creative documentaries are eligible for funding.

Support for development of drama, animation and creative documentary - single projects

Grants of this type are aimed at independent production companies developing dramas, animations or creative documentaries that have been registered for at least one year. Slate Funding and Slate Funding 2nd Stage
The support to a slate of project is aimed at independent European production companies developing dramas, animations or creative documentaries, which have been legally registered for at least three years and already have international experience as well as the financial capacity to undertake more than one project simultaneously. If your company does not meet these criteria, you should apply for single project funding.

Support for the development of on and off-line interactive works

Grants of this type are aimed at companies developing on and off-line interactive works. Companies submitting an application must have completed a previous interactive work or an animation of at least 24 minutes and prove that the work has been commercially distributed during the period between 1 January 2006 and the date of submission of their application.Tenderer: European Committee, Media 2008 programme
